Anna bakes from four in the morning and does not want to answer a telephone at eleven. Everything she sells is gone by two, so the only thing an ordering page had to do was stop her taking orders for things she had already run out of.
So the page counts down. Every loaf has a number against it, the number falls as orders come in, and when it reaches zero the item goes grey with the day it will be back. No accounts, no basket, one form. People order at seven in the morning from bed, which is exactly what she wanted.
She has since told me the phone still rings, but now it is people asking whether the rye is really gone.
