Nine Minutes of Rain

A city museum wanted something in the stairwell between the second and third floors, on a loop, that people would walk through rather than stop for. Nine minutes, no words.

It is one storm in October, recorded through four windows in the same building: a single-glazed one at the top, a sealed one in the stairwell, a bathroom vent, and a window somebody had left open. The same rain sounds like four different weathers.

The museum asked whether we could add a little music. We tried. We did not add music.
