A publisher with four staff and thirty-one titles going out in one season. Every book needs a paragraph that a bookseller can read in nine seconds and a reader can read in fifteen, and the two paragraphs are the same paragraph.
I read all thirty-one. That was most of the two weeks. The writing itself is quick once you have actually read the book, and impossible if you have not, which is why so much catalog copy sounds like it was written from the blurb of a different book.
Three of them I would recommend to anyone. One of them I would not, and I said so, and we found eighty honest words for it anyway.
